A basic introduction to construction of tailored garments.
 
Choose from shirts, waistcoats or trousers.
 
Over 2 days, you will cover all the basic skills needed to create a fully tailored garment using sample sewing.
 
These skills will lead onto the next level of tailoring at Intermediate level for making jackets and coats .
 
Techniques that will be covered during the course will be:
Pockets
Fly Zips
Collars
Finishing techniques
Tailored standards with hand finish work
Linings and hems
Tailored trouser and skirt waistbands
Handmade buttonholes
