Give the young person in your life a chance to discover their creative potential. At Young Designers Club, children and teenagers don't just learn to sew - they gain confidence, express themselves, and create garments they'll be proud to wear.
The Classes
Ages 11+: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Classes start Thursday 11th June 2026
Each session costs £20 per child.
What makes Young Designers Club special?
This isn't crafts or make-and-do. These are proper sewing classes where young people use real sewing machines to create actual garments. We provide everything they need - machines, fabric, equipment, and expert tuition from our experienced team. Every child works at their own pace, building skills session by session. They'll learn techniques used by professional dressmakers and designers, adapted to suit their age and ability. And because we keep classes small (just 10 students per session), everyone gets individual attention and support.
Show off their creations
We've got catwalk events planned for February and March, giving young designers the chance to showcase what they've created. It's an exciting opportunity for them to see their work celebrated and to feel proud of what they've achieved.
Why sewing matters
Learning to sew gives young people so much more than a practical skill. It teaches patience, problem-solving, and attention to detail. It shows them they can take an idea and make it real. And in a world of fast fashion and screen time, there's something powerful about creating something unique with your own hands.
