Beginners Embroidery
Would you love to learn hand embroidery?
This class is suitable for absolute beginners or for those of you who haven’t sewn in a while and would like to refresh your skills and regain your confidence.
I will show you how to use all the basic embroidery stitches and many more in a creative way.
You will then put your new skills into practice and make lovely items, like decorative panels or maybe book covers. It's all very much about learning that hand stitch skill of embroidery.
During this Absolute Beginners Course, the stitches you will start with are Back Stitch, Stem Stitch, Chain Stitch, Satin Stitch, French Knots Blanket Stitch and Detached Chain Stitch.
All basic materials are included; threads, hoops, needles & design sheets.
You can book a single date at £30 or all 4 dates for just £90.
Creative Textiles
Join Ruth as you venture into the world of Art Textiles.
These classes are suitable for complete beginners and anyone who would like to give textile art a try.
During this 4-session block of workshops we will experiment with a variety of textile colouring techniques:

Procion dyeing, printing (de-colourant and themafax)

Sculptural work with dissolvable fabrics

Total cost is £340 and includes all materials and use of equipment.
This course is for 4 classes once a month for 4 months. Please check you can make all the dates before booking.
